7 Best Movies On Netflix In August 2021
- Catch Me If You Can
- Inception
- The Edge Of Seventeen
- The Lincoln Lawyer
- Pineapple Express
- Sweet Girl
- Terminator 2: Judgment Day
1. Catch Me If You Can
Best Movies On Netflix: I am so glad that Netflix added this movie back to their library. ‘Catch Me If You Can’ was gone from the Netflix library for a while now. But now it is back.
One of the most evergreen movies ever. No matter how many times you watch it you will find it entertaining. The cast is just perfect. I mean when Tom Hanks was overshadowed by every other person what more do I need to say?
The compelling storytelling of Speilberg was at its peak during this movie. If you haven’t watched it yet, do yourselves a favor and watch it.

2. Inception
Another case of Netflix adding the movie back on their servers. It was a surprise when Inception left Netflix as it was added in 2021 only. But it is also back and you can enjoy it.
It’s impossible that you haven’t heard about Inception. The masterpiece that defines Nolan’s point of storytelling. Inception is the epitome of Nolan cinema. There is not a single thing I won’t do to witness this movie on the big screen again.
This is not just a movie, it is an experience that will change your cinema point of view for good. There might be a part of your mind that will tell you that Inception is not as good as it seems and that part is wrong. Because this is truly as good as mainstream cinema can get.

3. The Edge Of Seventeen
The Edge Of Seventeen is a really good movie. This movie had a lot more humor than I expected. The chemistry and comedy between Woody Harrelson and Hailee Steinfeld were great. It has a few heart-wrenching moments as well. I laughed, I cried, I loved it.
There were some moments that were kind of bad like we see in every comedy movie. But there are only a few moments like those and you can easily ignore those. Other than charming characters and stories, what worked for the movie was the dialogues of the movie.
As we have seen earlier, it is really hard to portray teenagers in a movie, But The Edge Of Seventeen did it perfectly. You should watch this movie as it might leave Netflix soon.

4. The Lincoln Lawyer
Matthew McConaughey is such a good artist. You can give him any role and he will nail it no matter what. Marisa Tomei is such a beautiful and talented actress. She ages like fine wine. Ryan Phillippe was a nice addition too.
The only thing that drags the movie a little bit down is that it feels a little bit unoriginal. Many fans have said that it felt like they were watching another movie.
But I really liked the movie and Matthew McConaughey made it 100 times better than it actually was. And I have a soft spot for a courtroom drama, so I really liked the movie because of that also. It is a really good time to watch if you ask me. So watch it before it leaves Netflix.

5. Pineapple Express
Pineapple Express is one of those few comedy movies that still hold up for me. I find this movie really funny and I don’t even know why. Seth Rogan did what he always does and it always works.
The last 30 minutes of the movie might have been a little too chaotic but that is exactly what I loved about this movie. I liked this movie so much that I would have put it in the same tier as Superbad. But Superbad is just too good.

6. Sweet Girl
Jason Momoa can do anything that he wants and I am sure of that now. I am a huge fan of Jason Momoa since the start. And seeing him getting this spotlight after so many years is worth it.
This movie practically showed us why he is such a good actor now. How much he has improved over the years and how much work he has actually put in.
Sweet Girl was a fun movie. Not going to lie, I had high expectations from it and it didn’t reach that level in any way. But it was still a decent watch. It is a good one-time watch. Even after all the good things, the movie was predictable and the twist really brought the movie down for me.

7. Terminator 2: Judgment Day
Personally, my favorite Terminator movie. It was so much better than the original one and the rare example of a sequel being better than the original one. I re-watched it again when it was re-released in the halls and I don’t regret it a single bit.
It improved upon many aspects like the story, action sequences, visual effects, sound effects, etc. That is exactly why it is considered to be one of the best sequels of all time. And the best thing is that the CGI still holds up today.
