    The Golden Globe-Winning Magic of M.M. Keeravani: 10 Hindi Film Songs before Naatu Naatu: Director SS Rajamouli’s film “RRR” (Rise, Roar, Revolt) has been breaking records both in India and internationally, with many filmmakers from the West praising the movie, its director, and its actors.

    The film’s music has also been well-received, and history was made when the song “Naatu Naatu” from “RRR” won the Golden Globe Award in the Best Original Song category, marking the first time an Indian song has received this prestigious award.

    Music composer M.M. Keeravani, who also sings, primarily works in Telugu cinema but has contributed to Hindi and Tamil films. Keeravani, SS Rajamouli’s cousin and 12 years his senior has composed music for all of the director’s 12 movies.

    Although M.M. Keeravani has given several Hindi hits, not many people know them. One reason for this is that he is also known as M.M. Kreem, which creates confusion. Today, we will highlight some of M.M. Keeravani’s famous songs before “Naatu Naatu.”

    Tu Mile Dil Khile (Criminal) (1994)

    The song “Tu Mile Dil Khile” from the 1994 film “Criminal,” directed by Mahesh Bhatt and featuring Nagarjuna, Manisha Koirala, and Ramya Krishnan, was composed by M.M. Keeravani. The talented artists Kumar Sanu, Alka Yagnik, and Chitra sang the melodious track.

    Chup Tum Raho (Is Raat Ki Subah Nahin) (1996)

    “Chup Tum Raho” from the film “Is Raat Ki Subah Nahin” was a musical masterpiece composed and sung by M.M. Keeravani in 1996. The female vocalist of the song was Chitra and the movie was directed by Sudhir Mishra.

    Gali Mein Aaj Chaand Nikla (Zakhm) (1998)

    The song “Gali Mein Aaj Chaand Nikla” from the 1998 film “Zakhm” was composed by M.M. Keeravani for Hindi Cinema and directed by Mahesh Bhatt. The movie features Pooja Bhatt, Nagarjuna, and a young Kunal Khemu. This beautiful composition is ideal for those who have been longing to reunite with their loved ones after a prolonged period of time.

    Aa Bhi Ja (Sur: The Melody of Life) (2002)

    The popular 2002 movie “Sur: The Melody of Life,” directed by Tanuja Chandra, features the musical talent of M.M. Keeravani. The film stars Lucky Ali and Gauri Karnik in key roles, and the song “Aa Bhi Ja” was a hit among audiences, sung by Lucky Ali and Sunidhi Chauhan.

    Jadu Hai Nasha Hai (Jism) (2003)

    “Jadu Hai Nasha Hai” from the 2003 film “Jism,” starring John Abraham and Bipasha Basu, continues to be cherished by music enthusiasts. Shreya Ghoshal provided the mellifluous voice, which was composed by M.M. Keeravani. The song has been widely appreciated for its soulful melody and beautiful lyrics. It remains one of the most iconic love songs of Bollywood to date.

    O Saathiya (Saaya) (2003)

    This beautiful composition in the movie “Saaya,” released in 2003 and directed by Anurag Basu, features John Abraham and Tara Sharma in lead roles. M.M. Keeravani composed the track, and Udit Narayan and Alka Yagnik gave it voice.

    Maine Dil Se Kaha (Rog) (2005)

    “Maine Dil Se Kaha” was one of the most popular songs from the 2005 film “Rog,” which starred Irrfan Khan. The music for the film was composed by M.M. Keeravani, and the song was sung by KK, who passed away in May of last year.

    Dheere Jalna (Paheli) (2005)

    The song “Dheere Jalna” from the 2005 movie “Paheli” starring Shah Rukh Khan and Rani Mukerji was composed by M.M. Keeravani. Directed by Amol Palekar, Sonu Nigam, and Shreya Ghoshal beautifully rendered the song.

    Jaana Hai (Kasak) (2005)

    The song “Jaana Hai” from the 2005 movie “Kasak,” which starred Lucky Ali and Meera, was composed by M.M. Keeravani, despite the movie’s failure at the box office. The song was well-received by audiences.

    Apne Dhokha Dete Hain (Dhokha) (2005)

    “Apne Dhokha Dete Hain” from the 2007 film “Dhokha” featuring Muzammil Ibrahim and Tulip Joshi was composed by M.M. Keeravani. Despite the film’s box-office failure, the song received positive feedback from music lovers. Pooja Bhatt produced the movie.
