Hostel Daze Season 2 Review: Hostel Daze Season 2 came out yesterday and fans have already completed the show. I mean there were only four episodes, so it was perfect for binge-watching.
But, it is crazy how much fans love this show. After the success of the first season, it was obvious that Amazon Prime and TVF will return with the second season and they did.
And this time they really found their feet and knocked it out of the park. All the irregularities of season 1 have been rectified and completely broken down in the second season.
Hostel Daze Season 2 Review, Cast, Positives and Negatives
Hostel Daze Season 2 Plot
The official synopsis of the show reads “Through the adventures of four friends ‘Hostel Daze’ captures what goes inside an engineering hostel in India”.
Just like we said in the previous article. The plot of Hostel Daze season 2 is really simple. Our main gang has become seniors now, and they are just enjoying their lives.
The second season also focuses on episodic stories, as every episode focuses on different stories with one or two major recurring things. And one thing for sure is that it will remind you of your time in the college and hostel.
And that is exactly what this show tried to achieve and it succeeded without much of a problem.

Hostel Daze Season 2 Review: Positives
Characters
In the second season characters like Akaansha got more screen time than in the first season and it gave the show much-needed freshness. All of the new characters brought something to the show and made it better.
I don’t think any character was wasted in the show. Even the character appearing for one or two scenes had something to offer. And that is a job done well if you ask me.
Cast
As always the cast of the show really played their part well. Adarsh Gourav did amazingly well and he is unrecognizable from his role in ‘The White Tiger’. His nuanced acting really brought out the best of the character.
Other cast members like Nikhil Vijay, Shubham Gaur LUV, Ahsaas Channa, Ayushi Bhardwaj, Harsha Chemudu, and Sahil Verma also played their roles really well.
Even all the side cast members did an amazing job. All of the cast members felt natural and that made the show so much better.

Plot
They never tried to overcomplicate the plot and kept it simple. They kept the plot as dumb as they could and that is exactly how it should have been done.
With every episode delivering some kind of message at the end, I thought that it would really affect the show in a bad way. But it didn’t and Hostel Daze season 2 was able to entertain me throughout.
Comedy Scenes
It was certainly better than the first season. And I can’t remember many shows that were able to do that this brilliantly. Hostel Daze season 2 had so many laugh-out-loud moments.
And even when the jokes didn’t land, I was still smiling throughout. Because of how amazingly the cast member executed those jokes even though they were not good.
Hostel Daze Season 2 Review: Negatives
Runtime
Just like every other fan I also disliked that Hostel Daze only had 4 episodes. I was really enjoying the show and suddenly it ended. And it left me somewhat bitter.
Yes, the first season was also of four episodes. But the second season was so much better and had such an amazing foundation and cast that it could have been extended for few more episodes.
Hostel Daze Season 2: Is It Worth It?
I mean, it is just four episodes. You can watch those four episodes without much of a problem. You won’t even realize and it will be over. So, if you want to watch something entertaining, you should definitely watch it.
But remember, it is a dumb show in a good way. So, watch it like that only. And you will really enjoy it.
